WORKING TOGETHER

Diane Buccola, owner of SpaBizBoard.com, has created a book to bridge the gap between consumers and estheticians.  Estheticians Are A  Girl's Best Friend thoroughly covers fundamental information regarding the skin and the esthetician's role in skin care to help consumers understand the value and necessity of seeing an esthetician.  The book effectively conveys how the esthetician and professional treatments are important to achieve great skin.  It is a great book to distribute to potential clients and to keep in your waiting area to validate your guests' commitment to investing in their skin care through professional services.

Do you ever wish women in your area knew what you did and how they could benefit from your treatments and products?

Do you find it frustrating that consumers often don't know the difference between home-party (MLM) skin care companies and trained and qualified estheticians?

Do you wish you had an encyclopedic mind and could talk about esthetics at a moment's notice (like the pro that you are), but sometimes the words just don't come out right?

Are you skilled in the treatment room but uncomfortable promoting yourself and your esthetic skills? Do you just wish somebody could just do it for you?  DONE!!!

ESTHETICIANS REALLY ARE A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND...

.....but all the girls aren’t aware of it yet. And that is my mission. That is OUR mission!

Estheticians Are A Girl's Best Friend is intended to be a handbook for clients and the general public.  So please do read through the booklet completely so you will understand that although I am marketing it to estheticians, it’s actually directed to our potential clients. This info needs to end up in their hands somehow.  And that's specifically why I wrote this book.

There are many ways to use this booklet to benefit your own business, and ultimately all of our esthetic careers:

1. Fashion an “envelope” using a piece of sturdy paper and glue it to the inside front cover of the book so that you can stick a handful of your business cards inside. Alternatively, you can simply write your contact info inside (I have left a blank page for that); however, remember that readers may not always have a pen and paper available and so you may miss a potential client. Then use any contacts you may have who will give you permission to place this booklet anywhere that women will be hanging out, such as hair salons, doctor and dentist waiting rooms, Starbucks, clothing stores, church groups, Bunko groups, or the front counters of women’s clothing stores, or really any business. So this booklet will be doing the marketing for you!

2. Quote from the book: When talking with women at parties, church, school functions….anywhere skin care comes up, and it always does, use my words as your own. This is especially helpful for those of you who are shy or uncomfortable marketing yourself.

3. Newsletters: Using simple software, such as Word, create a one-page newsletter. (In other words, keep it simple.) Pick a chapter or page of the booklet and quote from it verbatim (you have my permission!), then add a second topic such as a description of one of your facial treatments, a special monthly deal you are having, info about a skin care class you just attended, or a product you want to feature. Add your contact info, hours, etc., to the page, and mail the newsletter out to your current clients and also to all of the homes in the area of your business. Just drive around and write down addresses, then address it to “Neighbor.” (I speak from experience. I did this, and it really works!)

4. Or simply buy a few of these booklets and hand them out. I worked really hard to keep the price as low as possible in the hopes that this marketing tool would be affordable for as many as possible.

5. The back cover advises that this booklet can be purchased at my website, so you can let them flip through your booklet and if they are interested, let them know that these booklets are available for purchase.
